Inside the CCRR's new cement transfer facility
at West Lebanon NH
The West Lebanon facility is ideally located across the river from White River Junction, VT, close by the intersection of Routes 89 and 91. It offers excellent truck access to all of the New England states and connections with the national rail system.
In May of 2002 Eagle Leaf completed construction of a new, highly efficient cement reload facility. Completely enclosed in a new steel building with sound absorbing material, it features four high speed, sealed screw conveyors that unload cement product directly from railcars into a storage hopper where it is ready opon demand for transfer to customer trailer. Customer orders are filled by driving truck and cement trailer into the building. Once positioned on the inside truck scale two of the four conveyors transfer cement product from the storage hopper to the waiting trailer. This highly automated system can offload and transfer over 25 tons of cement to waiting trailer in well under 12 minutes.
West Lebanon offers considerable cleared, flat acreage, including a large paved area adjacent to our right of way for off loading and short term storage of bulk materials. Additional trackage can be added and railroad services tailored to meet nearly any customer need.
